Summer SAVY Session 6, Day 1, Forces of Nature
We are beyond excited to work with this group of brilliant students. The students will be collecting data all week in regards to the Beaufort Scale as we introduce forces of nature. The students spent time learning about the Engineering Design Process and what a prototype is. They were all able to draw a blueprint of a piece of technology that can solve problems. Prerna (our Teacher Assistant) and I really enjoyed listening to everyone’s presentations on their inventions. Today introduced multiple new vocabulary words and topics, but some basics were reiterated just to make sure we are all on the same page and ready to move on to more complex lessons.
Vocabulary focused on today: Anemometer, Beaufort Scale (B. Scale), Engineer, Engineering Design Process (EDP), Technology, Energy
