Summer SAVY Session 3, Day 4 – Games Galore
Day 4: Today was an exciting day for our “Games Galore” students! They explored group and individual predictions and learned that sometimes it is not possible to predict the outcome of an individual event, but it may still be possible to predict the average outcome for many similar events. They also continued working on probability investigations. After learning about the steps of the Engineering Design Process (Ask, Imagine, Plan, Create, Test, Improve, Present), students began planning and creating their games for our Probability Carnival! Tonight, ask your child about their ideas for their games and ask questions to guide them in thinking of ways to improve upon their current plan. They will spend time tomorrow morning finishing up, testing, and improving on their games, and then will present them in the afternoon.
