Summer SAVY Session 1, Day 5 – Robotic Engineering
Day 5: The Final Challenges! Day 5 in the SAVY Robotics Engineering Course
Welcome back to Day 5, where the excitement reaches its peak as the participants compete in their final challenges.
Students put all their robotic engineering power into practice, using multiple skills at once in order to challenge their fellow classmates in some friendly competition. They went head to head in the Mars Rover Competition, attempting to move moon marbles, cups, and park in the lot for points. As the competition heats up, students learn how to work together, trade roles, and iterate their robots in real-time. In the afternoon, students literally duked it out in the Sumo Bot Challenge, designing bots that sit upright and attempting to push each other out of the ring in a battle of the minds and bots.
