Summer SAVY 2018: Session 1, Day 5 – Biology and the Body (Rising 5th and 6th)

Posted by on Friday, June 15, 2018 in Grade 5, Grade 6, SAVY.

Today is our last day in Biology of the Body, however we still learned a lot and had a lot of fun! We first reviewed the material we learned throughout the week. Then, we finished our cell structure models and the microscope slide observations. To conclude our learning week, dove deep into exploring DNA, its structure and function.

This was followed by two very fun activities, a group of students extracted DNA from strawberries and the other group of students made 3D DNA structure models. This week was very productive and fun!

It’s sad to say goodbye, but thank you for joining me for such a great week!

Best,

Dr. Ramos
