Summer SAVY 2019: Session 3, Day 5 – Psychology and Experimental Design (Rising 3rd/4th)

Posted by on Friday, June 28, 2019 in Grade 3, Grade 4, SAVY.

Dear Parents,

It was sad to end the week, but it made me happy to see how much the students’ learned today!

As you already know, during open house, our researchers created and presented individual posters modeled after a professional psychology poster session. What you may not know, is that they spent hours working to analyze their results, draw conclusions, and perfect each section of their posters for most of the afternoon.

Our researchers also had the opportunity to work on their presentation skills today, with the guidance of two graduate students who visited from the Department of Psychology and Human Development. The students presented their experiments to the graduate students who asked them questions about their work and gave them constructive feedback. I was very impressed by our researchers’ professionalism during this activity.

It has been a fun-filled and challenging week, and I couldn’t be prouder to say that your children are officially well on their way to becoming developmental psychology researchers!

Best,

Ms. Emily
