Summer SAVY 2018: Session 1, Day 5 – Secrets of the Moli Stone (Rising 2nd)

Posted by on Friday, June 15, 2018 in Grade 2, SAVY.

Happy Fifth Day!
The students had a great day showcasing their new knowledge about place value, regrouping, renaming, and number systems during Open House. They were able to demonstrate their understanding by taking on the role of instructors.  After Open House, the students delved into the adventure of finding the three Moli Stones that were hiding on Vanderbilt’s campus. As archaeologists, they worked as a team to decipher the codes and messages written on each stone.
Finally, the students revisited the Land of the Treble were they stopped in the Trigon Pet Store. There they saw a wonderful three-headed Slurp for sale, and it cost one trickle. The students were able to use their gickles, bickles, and rickles to purchase a picture of the Slurp to take home today. Thank you for giving them this wonderful opportunity to unravel the Secrets of the Moli Stone!
