Summer SAVY 2018: Session 1, Day 5 – Electrifying Engineering (Rising 2nd)

Posted by on Friday, June 15, 2018 in Grade 2, SAVY.

What a great finale to our last day of Electrifying Engineering!  Our engineering skills were put to the test to finish our toys. Your students may have a few things they may want to change, but in general we had some great looking prototypes. It has been a pleasure working with your students and to see their creativity at work. Please make sure to take the batteries out of the toys or that the switch is off when your student is not working with their toy.  Have a great summer and make sure to use the engineering design process whenever you are problem solving!

Dr. Zeiger and Ms. Tiffany

P.S. The toy your student made is a prototype and contains batteries and wires.  As such, please make sure the toy is kept in a safe place where younger children cannot play with it as some parts may be small. Also, please make sure your student turns the switch off when not interacting with the toy or takes the batteries out.
