Summer SAVY 2017, Session 2/Day 4- Survive and Thrive (Rising 1st)

Posted by on Thursday, June 22, 2017 in SAVY.

Happy Fourth Day!

Today the students organized animals according to where they live, body coverings, and how they move from place to place. Their understanding of the characteristics of plants and animals was tested when they had to think of the similarities of all animals, including people.  They even recognized when their answers needed more research; truly amazing!

As always, they were excited about observing their mealworms and watering their habitats.  They wrote short blogs and stories about their mealworms to be shared with you tomorrow.  Also, they will be able to take their mealworms, lab journals and coats (t-shirts), and folders home tomorrow; therefore, we will review proper care of the mealworms.

Sincerely,

Dr. P.
