SAVY 2019: Session 4, Day 5 – Creative Contraptions (The Wesbys) (Rising 1st/2nd)
This was a fantastic week of learning, inventing, collaborating, communicating, creating, and problem-solving. Our students were awesome. They were challenged to develop deeper connections between the concept of “System” and “Simple Machines.”
Students were encouraged to answer the following questions this week:
Do we need simple machines?
What simple machines are not made yet?
What materials can be used to make simple machines?
A wheel and axle is a simple machine?
