Spring SAVY 2019, Day 5 – Autobiographies and the Story of You (3rd/4th)
It’s hard to believe that we only have one week left!
Although we spent most of the day working on our final projects, we still carved out some time to stretch our understanding of the generalizations of change as depicted in “Can’t Stop the Feeling” and “True Colors” from the movie Trolls. Not only did we discuss the changes that the characters experienced and caused, but we also discussed changes in key, time, and tempo, and then how those changes affect listeners.
Over the course of the week, check in with your kiddos about the generalizations of change: change is a necessary part of growth; change creates more change; change can be natural or constructed; and change can be positive and/or negative. For their final projects, students will be linking their memoirs (self-portraits, autobiographies, comic books, etc.) to these generalizations.
