Spring SAVY 2019, Day 5 – Forensic Science (1st/2nd)

Posted by on Monday, February 25, 2019 in Grade 1, Grade 2, SAVY.

Parents,

I cannot believe our time with Spring SAVY is coming to a close!  Next week is Open House, and we look forward to you coming to see our completed case files and crime scene.  The students have had so much fun doing hands-on forensic testing and learning how science is used to incriminate suspects.

This week we built up our case files by completing our suspect profiles. We examined our notes on the 4 suspects and collected data evidence to compare with our crime scene findings that come in next week. Now that we have collected evidence and information from each suspect, we’ll quickly be able to see the consistencies with evidence found at the crime scene and find our match! Our goal has been to use scientific findings to explain the relationships between evidence and suspects! I hope to see you all next week!

Sincerely,

Stacia Mills
