Spring SAVY 2017, Day 5- Robotic Programming

Posted by on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 in Grade 1, Grade 2, SAVY.

Greetings!

The kids worked really hard today!  Today was all about them, what they would like to create, and how to achieve that.  We started with a meeting in which they learned about how many degrees were in a circle, and how to write code to make their Spheros go in the directions that they want.  Then we played a game where they would turn 90, 180, 270, or 360 degrees to practice their new geometry concept!  Next, we went over the Open House next week and talked about what they would like to program.  They brainstormed and came up with some good ideas!  They worked really hard on their concepts and programs today.  I was very impressed at how much thought and work they put into them!  They have figured out how to get the Spheros to do some really impressive things, from turning so that they form a shape to creating a program that is interactive with the person handling the Sphero!  It was very productive and the kids were really excited!  They are looking forward to impressing you next week!

Have a great week!
